The Art of Mulan is an interesting art of book. When I finally got this book in the mail I was quite surprised to see how large it is. And considering this is the smaller version! There's an oversized version as well. But yes, this book as ALOT of text. But I loved reading all of it. It's written with amazing detail, and you hear from so many talented people who worked on the film.My only complaint with this book was how many screencaps or production stills from the film appear. Way to many! And the worse part is that some of them take up a full page! I saw online the Making of Mulan, and they showed many beautiful concept art images of Mulan. That I wished were in this book, instead of those screencaps. Like another reviewer said there's not a lot of concept art, most of the art you see is close to, or what you already see in the final film. You don't see much of the earlier versions.Overall I quite enjoyed this book, I waited a long time to buy this one. Since most of the time it was really overpriced, but I finally found one that was priced reasonably. For some reason alot of sellers are pricing it from fifty dollars, to more than a hundred, which is crazy. Personally I do NOT think this art of book is worth more than $25, which is usually what most art of books cost.
